(Artamidae; Ϯ White-breasted Woodswallow A. leucoryn) Gr. αρταμος artamos butcher, murderer; the woodswallows were formerly known as swallow-shrikes, combining the characters of swallows and shrikes or butcherbirds (see Enneoctonus and Lanius); "129.
