(Tyrannidae; Ϯ White-headed Marsh Tyrant A. leucocephala) L. arundo, arundinis  reed; -cola  dweller  < colere  to inhabit; "ARUNDINICOLE, Arundinicola ...  Ces oiseaux se tiennent exclusivement aux bords des eaux, dans les joncs et dessus, et se posent peu à terre ...  Nous les avons, dans notre Synopsis, placés avec les Alecturus; mais ils en diffèrent par le bec beaucoup plus long et parce qu'ils pénètrent dans l'intérieur des joncs, au lieu de rester toujours en dehors" (d'Orbigny 1840); "Arundinicola d'Orbigny, 1840, Voy.
