Einige der Chipiu Azara's, welche bisher, wie die folgenden Synonyme zeigen, bald hier bald dort untergebracht wurden, bilden die hier zu begründende Gattung Poospiza. ... Ausser einigen in Bezug auf die Synonymie noch nicht gehörig festgestellten Arten stellen wir zu Poospiza: 1. P. nigrorufa. ... 2. P. thoracica. ... 3. P. lateralis."
