(Rallidae; Ϯ Spotted Crake P. porzana) Specific name Rallus porzana Linnaeus, 1766; "241. PORZANE, Porzana.  Rallus, Fulica, Lin. Gm.  Gallinula, Lath.  Bec plus court que la tête, épais à la base, droit, atténué et comprimé vers le bout, pointu; mandibule supérieure couvrant un peu les bords de l'inférieure. — Doigts totalement libres.  Esp. Marouette, Buff."
