(Pellorneidae; Ϯ Brown Illadopsis I. fulvescens) Gr. ιλλας illas, ιλλαδος illados thrush; οψις opsis appearance; "Diese durch ihre Grösse ausgezeichnete westafrikanische Form einer sonst rein malayischen Gruppe, möchten wir lieber als Illadopsis fulvescens (von ιλλας, Drossel und οψις, Aussehen) gemarisch getrennt sehen, da sie vor den typischen Arten der Gattung Bessethera Cab. (Turdirostris (!) Hay) wesentlich characterisirt ist durch: "Ziemlich laugen Schnabel, mässig lange abgerundete Flügel, nicht eben langen abgerundeten Schwanz, hohe Läufe, lange weiche Rückenfedern, starke Borsten an der Schabelwurzel u.s.w." "(Heine 1860).
