(Troglodytidae; Ϯ Sedge Wren C. stellaris) Gr. κιστος kistos  shrub, rock-rose; θοος thoos  nimble, quick  < θεω theō  to hasten (cf. θουρος thouros  rushing, impetuous  < θρωσκω thrōskō  to leap upon); "Gen. TROGLODYTES Vieill. 1807. ***) Zaunkönig.   ...   ***)Von Troglodytes werden wegen des zwar kurzen aber verhältnissmässig stärkern, an der Spitze stärker gebogenen Schnabels, sowie sonstiger Unterschiede halber, einige kleine gewissermassen an Cisticola erinnernde Arten als eigne Gruppe abzusondern sein:  Gen. Cistothorus nov. gen. Cistschlüpfer.  1. C. stellaris. — Troglodytes stellaris Licht Naum. Vög. Deutschl.
