(Sylviidae; Ϯ Grey-hooded Fulvetta F. cinereiceps) Dim. < L. fulvus tawny, yellowish-brown; "FULVETTA nov. gen. Bec court, robuste, avec la mandibule supérieure légèrement arquée; tarse de dimensions moyennes; ongle postérieur beaucoup plus long et plus fort que celui des autres doigts; queue faiblement étagée; ailes courtes, avec les quatrième, cinquième et sixième pennes égales entre elles. Allures générales des mésanges. 323.— FULVETTA CINEREICEPS ... M. J. Verreaux avait rangé cette espèce, ainsi que les deux suivantes, d'abord dans le genre Siva, puis dans le genre Proparus; mais il nous a paru nécessaire d'en former un groupe distinct, dont le nom fait allusion aux teintes fauves dominant dans le plumage de ces oiseaux. 324.— FULVETTA RUFICAPILLA ... 325.— FULVETTA STRIATICOLLIS" (David & Oustalet 1877); "Fulvetta David and Oustalet, 1877, Oiseaux Chine, p. 220.
