(Trochilidae; Ϯ Green-throated Mango A. viridigula) Gr. ανθραξ anthrax, ανθρακος anthrakos  coal, carbuncle (i.e. black); θωραξ thōrax, θωρακος thōrakos  chest; "Anthracothorax.  a. weder Holle noch Abzeichen.  b. untere Theile des Körpers sammetschwarz.  c. Schnabel lang und gebogen.  d. Schwanz kupferviolet und  e. abgerundet.    Arten.  1. Troch. mango.   2. — holosericeus Gm.   3. — violaceus Gm.   4. — gramineus Gm."
