(Accipitridae; Ϯ Booted Eagle H. pennatus) Gr. ἱεραξ hierax, ἱερακος hierakos  hawk; αετος aetos  eagle; this group, often known as Hawk Eagles, combines an eagle-like appearance with the lighter build, longer tail, and rounded wings of a hawk; "IV.
