MUSCIGRALLA
(Tyrannidae; Ϯ Short-tailed Field Tyrant M. brevicauda) Genus Muscicapa Brisson 1760, flycatcher; L. grallae  stilts  < obsolete gradula  little step  < dim. gradus  step; "this little bird appears as if half half its tail is missing and is walking on stilts. Its runs quickly, stands to attention between runs, and flicks wings and bobs tail." (Jaramillo et al. 2003); "GMUSCIGRALLA, Nob.  Tarsis tibiisque longissimus, his a medio ad apicem nudis et squamigeris tarsis et acrotarsis squamis numerosis obtectis; rostro elongato-conico, depresso, apice uncinato; alis brevibus, apice rotundatis, remige secunda, tertia, quarta, quintaque fere æqualibus; cauda brevissima, apice recta.   1.
