Body above brown, yellow beneath, white streaked. S. America. In others, the tail is uneven, and the two central feathers are much the longest. The subgenus, Colonia, gray, peculiar to South America. Peruvian Flycatcher, Lath. H. t. 102. Muscicapa Colonus, Vieil. M. Monacha, Freyr. Licht. Platyrhynchus Filicauda, Spix, Braz. ij. t. 14. La Colon, Azara, n. 180. Platyrhynchus Platurus, Vieil.
