DEFINITIONS
CORYDON
(Lesson 1828); "Corydon Lesson, 1828, Manuel d'Ornithologie, I, p. 177. Type, by original designation and tautonymy, Eurylaimus corydon Temminck, 1824 = Coracias sumatranus Raffles,1822." (JAJ 2021).

Not Corydon Lesson, Manuel d'Orn. vol. i. p. 177, June 1828." (Mathews, 1927, Syst. Av. Austral., I, p. 311).
• (Alaudidae; syn. Melanocorypha † Black Lark M. yeltoniensis) Gr. κορυδων korudōn, κορυδωνος korudōnos lark < κορυς korus, κορυθος koruthos helmet; "Eine passende Benennung für sie wird das Wort Ammerlerchen sein. (Corydon; Melancorypha!!)" (Gloger 1842); "Corydon Gloger, 1842, Gemein. Hand- und Hilfsbuch Naturgesch., p. 264 (not of Lesson, 1828, nor of Wagler, 1832).
