(Tyrannidae; Ϯ Great Kiskadee P. sulphuratus) Tupí name Pitanguá guacú for a large flycatcher, perhaps the Great Kiskadee (cf. “forest of Pitanga, about twenty leagues west of Bahia” (Swainson 1820-1823)); "PITANGUS.   Rostrum magnum.  Alæ mediocres, remigum pogoniis internis immarginatis, apice obtusis.  Cauda æqualis.  Pedes subbreves, fortes.   ...   Type.
